About thirty hectares are devoted to its cultivation, on the banks of the Loire and the Indre and in the valleys of Villaines-les-Rochers. The Vannerie de Villaines cooperative has 50 basket makers, 20 basket makers cultivating their willow beds and thus ensuring control of the quality and supply of raw materials.
